Nokia 6210 Navigator In Detail

The 6210 Navigator is supposed to inherit its successor–Nokia 6110 navigator. The new product is the company’s first mobile device that is GPS-enabled (A-GPS also is onboard) with the integrated compass designed for the pedestrian guidance. The Nokia 6210 Navigator arrives along with the Nokia Maps 2.0, and includes visual turn and full voice by turn guidance without any additional cost. Combined with the accelerometer, detecting the changes in orientation and direction, the integrated compass makes it an easy job to follow the map while exploring your surroundings on foot. When you make the device upside down or sideways, the map maintains its orientation automatically. It is a cool feature by all means.

The Nokia 6210 Navigator contains a decent set of various features in offer: the quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM support with the dual-band HSDPA, 2.4″ QVGA TFT display that support 16M colors. The phone operates on the 3rd edition OS of S60. The integrated storage space of 120MB can be expanded further through microSD cards. The new 6210 navigator has a built-in 3.2megapixel camera along with a LED flash. Among the various other features are the stereo FM radio, a visual radio and a music player. It can store approximately 220 calendar notes. The device has a voice dialing memory space for dialing 10 numbers. It supports the predictive input for more than 10 languages. All the major European languages are supported by the phone. The phone supports GSM 900/1800, GSM 1800 and EGSM 900 dual-bands networks and also supports the automatic switching between these bands. The hardware characteristics of the phone include an internal antenna and an internal vibration alert along with a DSP voice recognition algorithm and an extended performance via 3V technology and triple codecs (EFR, FR, HR). It also has a real time clock integrated with a backup cell.

The advanced wireless solutions integrated along with the phone include a WAP browser, HSCSD allowing approximately up to 43.2 kbps and the data support via cable or IrDA. Over-the-air activation is possible for receiving/sending business cards, names and numbers, picture messages, WAP settings, operator logos, ringing tones, calendar notes and caller group logos. The phone also comes bundled along with a Pc Suite for 6210. With the Pc suite, it is very easy to transfer the data between a compatible desktop or a notebook Pc and the phone. You can also synchronize the names and calendar entries in the Phonebook. It also provides the users with the facility to create their own ringing tones and make their own graphics.
