The Enigma Of The Mysterious Men In Black, Part 2

March 19th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Education

Alright, folks, in that last entry I was simply waxing a tad facetious, or perhaps even ludicrous, with all that mindless drivel. The truth is, I have done some serious research on the subject, although not quite as exhaustive as I would like. So let’s get to the bottom of the matter.

Do Men in Black really exist, or are they the product of our wildly vivid imaginations? Is there any real evidence out there?

Exodus From Columbus Schools

March 10th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Education

Enrollment Figures in Columbus Schools are Falling
In the glory days back in the 50s and 60s, Columbus public schools could expect to find at least 3000 students lined up for admissions. These days, however you are more likely to find that number armed with transcripts waiting for a transfer into charter or private Columbus schools. This downward enrollment trend is nowhere close to the mass exodus that took place from Columbus schools in the years following desegregation, but the numbers are high enough to warrant concern. Up until a couple of decades after World War II, student rosters at Columbus schools were overflowing so much so that many new schools had to be built to accommodate the demand. By the 1970s, however enrollments had dropped drastically, and they have been declining since. Enrollment today at Columbus schools stand at a grand total of 55,000, a ghost of what it once was.

There are many people out there who advertise their investment strategies. They say that you can also make millions just by applying their investment strategies. If you are a beginner, you may get excited with all the returns that they are projecting to you. Now, ask this question to yourself, if making money is so easy, will there be poor people around?

When I first started learning about investment planning and financial planning, I was overwhelmed by the terminologies and formulas. I did not know that there are many ratios and formulas that you have to calculate. There are both quantitative and qualitative. I know for a fact that making capital gains from investment is not an easy task.

Importance Of Business Translation

March 7th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Education

Translating services for business are becoming more imperative as the globe shrinks and economies become intertwined between countries. The world is growing smaller from a business perspective and doing business overseas is necessary to expand markets and maintain company profits. There are reasons to translate - Inbound and outbound translating. Any outbound translations must be impeccable; inbound translations for internal use could perhaps be less than perfect to get the message across.

1. When you decide to do business overseas and before you make initial contacts, be sure to have your marketing and sales materials translated accurately into the language of the country in question. [Outbound]

Understanding Budgeting Is Key To Avoiding Debt

March 1st, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Education, Finance

As the festive season approaches consumers need to organise their finances as they get set to increase spending on areas such as gifts and food, an industry expert has advised.

According to James Falla, director of Thomas Charles, Britons should take the time to draw up a list documenting their income and expenditure over the Christmas period. In doing so, he suggested that consumers could find that their finances are in a much more favourable position both in the final stages of 2007 and in the new year. As a result, this may help them to meet various demands on their spending such as secured loans, utility bills and credit card statements and avoid developing unmanageable money problems.
