Spiritual Secrets For Leaders As To How They Can Grow, Become Mature, And Develop Character

July 15th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Self Improvement

In Exodus Chapter 21, Moses has led the people of Israel out of Egypt, and now they are at Mount Sinai where the Ten Commandments have been given, and we have seen how these people were to prepare themselves to hear and receive the Word of God, and that Word of God comes through a man to the people.

It has been suggested on good authority that these Chapters are probably the first part of the Bible to be written down - Chapters 19 and 21 to 24 - and yet they can be so neglected and overlooked - but when we read this section we see that it is most interesting and so very relevant.

How To Improve Your Motivation In Your Business

May 1st, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Business

When you’re running a small business, there are often times when you feel a bit down about it. Perhaps you haven’t had a great month; maybe your customers aren’t paying or something else has gone wrong. Whatever has happened, it’s fairly easy to get de-motivated; so easy in fact that my business mentor offer says to me “show me an entrepreneur and I’ll show you a manic depressant” – what he means is that sometimes you’re on top of the world and other times you hit rock bottom. Most people who run a small business will definitely know what I mean.

Goal Setting Tips - What Motivates You?

April 18th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Self Improvement

What is motivation?

Motivation is both the desire and willingness to do something. It’s what gets you started and keeps you going.

“Motivation is a fire from within. If someone else tries to light that fire under you, chances are it will burn very briefly.” Stephen R. Covey

“Desire is the starting point of all achievement, not a hope, not a wish, but a keen pulsating desire which transcends everything.” Napoleon Hill

Most people are motivated either by the avoidance of pain or the pursuit of pleasure. In my experience the most common motivation seems to be the avoidance of pain.

Wealth And Riches Which Never Lose Their Value

February 1st, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Self Improvement

Wealth and riches which never lose their value and which can never be stolen are offered to all who wish to receive them.

Have you ever wanted to be truly blessed, and your life enriched abundantly?

Many people seek this but do not know where to find such wealth.

God shows us how we can be blessed, and He indicates the path of blessing, and for blessing. Of course, He also warns us what will happen if we ignore His ways.

There is a very real blessing to be received and enjoyed when a man takes his counsel from men of God.

Chicago White Sox - From First To Worst In Less Than 24 Months

January 28th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Recreation and Sports

It’s hard to believe that the Chicago White Sox were the 2005 World Champions, topping all other clubs in the majors.

Today, as I gazed at the standings, less than two full seasons later, they’re in dead last in the Central Division, beneath the perennially poor performers, the Kansas City Royals.

The good news is that the Sox are a mere four games out of fourth place. They still have a fighting chance to stave off the shame of becoming cellar dwellers during the off-season.

But they’re not fighting.

With much of September yet to play, there’s little life left in the South Siders.

Overcome Procrastination And Achieve What You Want

January 13th, 2008 | No Comments | Posted in Self Improvement

Procrastination is a situation most people face at one time or another. It can either mean not starting something or not finishing. If prolonged, it can become a bad habit. The main cause of procrastination is the lack of motivation. The reason why people fail to get started or fail to finish a project is because there is not a strong enough reason. Once there is a reason strong enough, the chances are that you will accomplish the task. When there is a strong enough negative consequence of not completing the task.

Nothing could put Him off.

There came that point in the life of Jesus Christ when He set His face to go to Jerusalem.

The Son of God comes riding into Jerusalem hearing “Hosanna” which means “Save us now”. Within the week, Jesus would be betrayed, arrested, falsely accused, illegally tried, crucified, dead and buried.

It is a day of emotion, excitement, joy, sadness, rejoicing and weeping, with malice, envy and hatred.

When you are going about your normal daily business, in a 24-hour period your brain will naturally cycle through four predominant states (sometimes called brainwave states).

The first and most relaxed state is called ‘delta,’ which is around 1-3hz. You experience this when you are in an extremely deep, dreamless sleep.

One step up from delta is called ‘theta.’ Theta is a very dreamy state that you will experience during normal dreaming while you are asleep, and theta is characterized by 4-7hz brainwave activity.
